For the past two years St Albans Youth Council (SAYC) and Harpenden Youth Town Council (HYTC) have organised Summer Sounds, a highly successful youth music event which last year had an audience of over 1200 people. The venue alternates between Harpenden and St Albans and this year it’s back in Rothamstead Park on Saturday 12 July . From two in the afternoon the audience will be able to listen to local DJs, bands and solo artists.

We are looking for aspiring young artists, musicians and DJs, to participate in the gig. Bands need to have at least a couple of tracks on CD or MP3 and enough material to play for up to half an hour. So if you think you’ve got what it takes here’s how to get involved. Applications need to be in by Friday 29th February so get them in quickly if you want a chance to play on stage at an established music event!
