Hi, I'm Alex and as the newest member of the SAYC I have been asked to do this sessions blog.
Yesterday (May the 25th) was my first meeting. I didn’t really know what to expect but it turned out to be quite a productive session, and more importantly good fun and a way to express what I felt. I was lucky enough to join just as the SAYC are starting to come up with lots of new ideas for how to grow and become more effective as your voice.
There are lots of new exciting things that we are planning to do over the next few months. Unfortunately lots of older members are leaving soon so we will miss them, and their supposed wisdom

, when they are gone.We discussed several key issues such as the mental health project which if any of you seen we are currently in the process of finding out your thoughts about it. I really enjoyed my first meeting and will be going back again to try and help the SAYC improve and get more young people’s voices heard. I hope to hear your voice in the future.
